Kaon production cross sections in nucleon-nucleon, nucleon-delta and delta-delta interactions are studied in a boson exchange model. Using QCD sum rule approach we show that the Λ(1405) can be a K̄N molecule-type multiquark state. To do this we assume the Λ(1405) as a K̄N bound state, and choose a K̄N molecular-like interpolating field. It is found that the Λ(1405) is below the K̄N threshold.
